That's right.  As of December 21, 2003, the brand new Ruth's Study is now officially open.  I got really tired of the ads messing up my pages (Angelfire in particular got really bad with the ads), so I asked if for Christmas I might be able to open up my own website.  I had actually been working on pages, graphics and various other things for some time before I actually opened up the site, I have learned more about HTML thanks to my Uni IT course, so I think I'm ready to move up to the next step and have my own domain name rather than one of these free accounts.  The brand new address will be http://www.ruths-study.com, so go there now and have a look! So what does ruths-study.com have that the old Ruth's Study doesn't have? Apart from the new, easier to remember web address, I haven't changed a lot of the actual content of the site.  You'll still find all the musicals, Disney and movies that were there before, but will a much nicer layout and updated graphics, as my skill with those has improved while I've been at University too.  There will also be brand new forums, an updated guestbook and a new chat café.  I also have a new online journal, so the link to that will be posted at the new site too.  I actually write in that more than I do any updates, so do check it out and if you're also a member of LiveJournal, feel free to friend me.  The new Study will be bigger and better than ever, and the best thing is that there will be no banners or ads to be seen, ever! If you have any questions, comments, concerns or suggestions about the new site, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.  Alternatively, you could leave me a note in the guestbook and I'll get it that way instead.  I'm terribly excited about opening the new site.  I've been wanting to do it for a long time, I just needed the means to finance it.  Christmas seemed the perfect excuse, I asked about it and my parents agreed.  So I hopped on the web and began searching for reliable hosts.  I found one and set up my site immediately, transferring all the pages and graphics I had created onto the site.  I'm very pleased with the result! There will still be a few things that are available on the old site that will not yet be available on the new site, but more the other way around.  Some things I may not bother transferring, and for this reason, the old site is going to remain open, just in case I need to reference something from there, until I get absolutely everything across.  Check the updates pages for what's new around the site, please update all your banners and links and enjoy the new site!  I have had immense fun bringing you this site over the past two years, and the older sites before that, and I'm sure I'll have just as much fun bringing you the new, improved Study.  Please click on a banner below and choose where you wish to go now.
